Holly Hybrids, Spreckels and SESVanderhave strive to provide the best possible sugarbeet seed varieties for your growing regions.

Exceptional Seed Varieties

Holly Hybrids and SESVanderHave operate over a wide geogaphic area, which necessitates having varieties that are adapted to many different conditions. Insects and diseases cause reductions in yield potential, so proper identification is important to minimize negative effects of the pest. The answer to these challenges is resistant seed.

Many diseases are controlled by resistant seed varieties and Holly Hybrids and SESVanderHave, now the worldwide leaders in Rhizomania resistant sugarbeet production, have a multitude of genetic solutions. Our researchers have developed seed products with outstanding resistance to many diseases while still maintaining critical agronomic characteristics like vigor, stand establishment and strong revenue.

Futhermore, we strive to provide growers with the essential information they need about our seed varieties, as well as guidance on cultural practices for growing beets. Throughout our history, even with all the changes in technology and global markets, the primary goal remains the same: help our customers become more successful sugarbeet growers.

The Seed Crop

Once new varieties have been evaluated and approved for commercial sale, production of the seed crop begins. Stock seed and commercial productions are produced by grower member companies utilizing West Coast Beet Seed Company, located in Salem, Oregon.
